Our Team
Mr. Malas is the Founder and President of Dana Investment Corporation, a full service real estate operating company he established in 1984. His primary responsibilities include directing the investment strategy and raising equity for the firm’s overall investment strategy. Throughout his career, Mr. Malas has been involved in the acquisition, financing, and development of more than $2.5 Billion of real estate across product types.
Mr. Malas received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Manitoba-Winnipeg, Canada. He is also an attendee of YPO’s Executive Program at Harvard Business School. Mr. Malas is a licensed Real Estate Broker in California, Colorado, and Georgia. He is actively involved in numerous leadership and executive organizations including YPO/WPO (Young President’s Organization/World President Organization) and CEO (Chief Executive Organization). Mr. Malas serves on the Board of Trustees of the University of California Irvine Foundation and Claremont Graduate University, and also serves on the Board of Directors of the California Charitable Foundation. He is also a “Visionary Founder” of UCI Applied Innovation, and a lifetime founding member for the Mission Hospital Foundation.
Mr. Soussa joined the team in 1998 and is the Executive Vice President of Dana Investment Corporation. His primary responsibilities include all operations, financial, and asset-management functions pertaining to its commercial real estate portfolio. Mr. Soussa has extensive experience in all aspects of commercial real estate including site identification, due diligence and acquisition, initial schematic design, value engineering, entitlement and permitting, construction, marketing and lease-up, permanent financing, day-to-day management, and disposition.
Mr. Soussa received his Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from the California University at Fullerton and his Juris Doctor from Western State University College of Law. Mr. Soussa is a licensed real estate broker in both California and Colorado and is a licensed California Attorney.
Mr. Alasadi joined the team in 2002 and is the bookkeeper of Dana Investment Corporation as well as many of the single purpose entities under management. His primary responsibilities include all AR, AP and financial reporting pertaining to the commercial real estate portfolio. As a former auditor, Mr. Alasadi has extensive experience in all aspects of accounting.
